Our Philosophy
It is a common miss-perception by our patients that we are very Eastern style medical providers. There would be nothing wrong with that being the case, of course, but it is not. This misunderstanding comes rises because of our focus on getting to the root cause of a problem, instead of only treating symptoms; the prevalent approach to care in Western medicine as a whole, especially physical medicine. We will certainly work on symptoms, but not by trying to mask them. You would not turn off a fire alarm because the sound was hurting your ears, but ignore the fire that set it off. We want to track down why the body has symptoms and deal with the why, to make a permanent change, instead of only chasing pain.
This is the heart of our philosophy in treatment and in business. We want to offer solutions to a problem, not just temporary relief of symptoms, so we combine skill sets and approaches to handle both for good. As a business this means we don’t hold onto patients longer than they need. We want to to get at the real source of each person’s problem and approach it directly so that we can conclude them as quickly and thoroughly as possible. Some health situations are naturally more time demanding, such as recovery from auto accident or brain injuries, but as a business I’ll still never be able to keep our doors open from any one patient, because I almost never see someone week on week for months or years. I want to offer you exceptional care, and actual solutions, so that you can connect other people in need with the help that we offer.
We do not hold onto patients longer than needed, but we do give all the time and energy needed to see each of them to their cases conclusion. We don’t sell products or push for up-sales. We do continue learning our craft, through classes, research and collaboration, to increase the breadth and depth of what we can do, and improve the speed and quality of our care.

Corey Walden LMT NKT
Owner - Provider
A natural analyst, Corey is driven to find the root cause of any problem and see it through to it’s full conclusion. He has a passionate need to know; both how things work on a scientific level, as well as what has gone wrong for a specific patient, pushing him to perpetually learn and improve as a practitioner. Corey is invested in his patients success; never in a hurry, always dedicated to guiding them to the full achievement of their health goals. You will find few practitioners who love their work as much. Corey has been in the Portland area more than twenty five years, and spends some of each week with a camera in hand and off somewhere in the PNW wilderness. In 2019 he went on sabbatical to set feet on the Pacific Crest Trail at the Mexican border, walking North to Canada. He is now back in Portland continuing the work he loves.
Specialties and Methods: I specialise in complex chronic pain cases, as well as sensory and neurological injuries, conditions and dysfunctions. I take particular interest in cases which have not found significant improvement from other medical interventions, including when they are expected to be permanent. My treatment method integrates manual and movement therapies of many types with applied neurology techniques to fit the specific needs of my patients health situation.
